There are also mods listed that are no longer being used on the bike for one reason or another, but may be interesting to the reader of this site. Home-made Camera Mount

This mod was built to mount a video camera on the gas tank for on-bike footage using some scrap components, and put together with aluminum. It was initially very effective in providing a steady camera platform.

UPDATE - July 5th, 2002:

Camera mod performance deemed unsatisfactory due to increased vibration charactoristics of motorcycle, related to performance mods, affecting image stability of the camera. Next iteration of an on board camera mod will involve simpler light weight lipstick type camera slaved to the video camera recorder.

This mod assists with my lousy sense of direction, and is mounted on a custom fabricated mount on the handlebar that is fully removeable when not required.

Hella 55 watt Driving Lights

Installed on engine guard, provides additional night time illumination that is desired for cornering. Extra rubber damping was required to keep bulb tungsten element from breaking up due to vibration. Hella Driving Lights

UPDATE - July 5th, 2002:

Hella running light mod rendered unuseable due to installation of full fairing lowers over their previous installed location. New running lights will be sourced and installed elsewhere very soon. Mod has been found to be invaluable for reasons of safety and visibility
Home fabricated fairing bellypan

April 5th, 2002 at 19400 km Chin fairing was home built, hand laid fiberglassed. Took approxamitely 150 hours to complete. Photo of completed chin fairing on Bandit
UPDATE - July 13th, 2002:

Belly pan mod rendered obsolete with installation of Lockhart Philips Fastglass lowers repair and installation. This was still a valuable exercise in fiberglass fabrication.

September 22nd, 2002 at 28500 km Purchased as a replacement fairing for the stock fairing destroyed in an accident August 14th, 2003. Mirrors as supplied were replaced with a set of 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200 mirrors that were a bolt on and go affair.

UPDATE - May 7th, 2004:

Powerbronze fairing removed, or rather, removed itself, in a fairing bracket mount metal fatigue failure during a trip at Deals Gap, NC. Mount was/is repairable with further work, but i elected to replace the fairing with a 2001 model Bandit 1200 fairing instead.
